We have just begun rebuilding our LaManchas. We had started with a few does and did not like the direction they were taking. So we made a few changes in bucks and purchased a few quality does. Most of our stock is young and is showing great promise.

   Licorice was shown as a yearling milker and always placed first. As a second freshener she was even better. Unfortunately she suffered a severe blow to her udder and developed gangrene. She is now a brood doe. Her 1st freshening daughter has proven her worth.

We did not plan to breed Leona quite so early but she had other ideas. She has freshened with a beautiful udder. High and tight in the rear, nice fore udder attachment, and very correct teats. She is very level across the topline and has very good feet and legs. Normally I don't offer bucks out of 1st fresheners but with the bloodlines and the correctness of her udder I do not hesitate to offer this buckling. He is going to be a solid dark chocolate.

Thea was a wedding present for Melanie from Ann Weikel. She earned her dry leg as a kid. She is long and level and is a very eye catching doe in the ring. With all the genetics behind her she should be quite a milk producer.
